Save A Dog Rescue is a private 501c3 rescue
We do not get funding from the State or County. We do not recieve a salary. We rely on private donations to survive. We are all volunteers.
We have a small transitional shelter on 6 acres where dogs we rescue stay until they go to a foster home.
HANNA'S HOUSE IS OUR SHELTER . IT WAS NAMED AFTER THE DIRECTORS DOG . WHEN HANNA WAS RESCUED SHE ALREADY HAD CANCER.

About Adoption Fees
Shelters and rescue groups cover initial veterinary costs to prepare the pet for a new home. Our adoption fees do not cover all of our expenses. Typical costs for Healthy dogs:
- Veterinary wellness visit and exam $50
- Spaying or neutering $150-250
- Parvo/ Distemper vaccination $40 each vaccine
- Rabies vaccination $35
- Heartworm test (for dogs over 8 months) $50
- Flea/tick treatment $20-25 ( Each month we have the dog)
- Heartworm Preventative $15 (Each month we have the dog)
- Microchip $20-40
- High Quality Food $50+ per month
- Deworming and Fecal Tests $40 each occurrence
- Collar and an identification tag $25
Our Costs $450- $600 Per Dog

Other typical fees not included above:
- Shelter Pull Fees $10-15 Each Dog
- Transport Fees $ 150-250 Each Dog
- Health Certificates for Interstate Transport $60+ per dog
- Boarding Fees $40+ per day.
- Heartworm Treatment 700+
